The Rona Barrett Foundation Golden Inn & Village in Santa Ynez held a "Class of 2016" graduation ceremony for its original residents on June 17 to celebrate its fifth anniversary since opening.

Nineteen residents at the Golden Inn & Village were thrown a graduation ceremony of their own Friday to mark five years since the housing facility opened its doors and welcomed the senior group.

The Rona Barrett Foundation broke ground Thursday on the construction of Harry’s House, a 60-unit affordable housing development that will begin serving low-income seniors in Santa Barbara County as soon as the summer of 2023.

Heavy equipment and a construction trailer have moved into place as work begins for the final section of a residential project for low-income senior citizens in the Santa Ynez Valley.

Santa Ynez, Calif., January 31, 2022 –Cynthia Manigault has been elected Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Rona Barrett Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to providing affordable housing and wellness services for the elderly poor. Manigault has served on the Board of Trustees since 2019.
